Justin is a dedicated advocate for independent financial advice, currently leveraging his extensive leadership experience in private wealth management as a Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Justin is a passionate advocate for independent financial advice in an industry often marked by conflicts of interest. He often remarks, “The unfortunate reality is that the financial services industry doesn’t do itself any favors.” From mismanaging conflicts of interest to prioritizing high-commission products over evidence-based advice, the sector frequently falls short of its potential, missing the chance to genuinely improve lives. This realization drives Justin every day, as he believes that when done right, financial advising is a noble profession.Justin has held several leadership positions within the private wealth management industry, including Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) titles.Justin began his career as a Financial Advisor in San Francisco, where he discovered the transformative power of comprehensive financial planning. He honed his skills by working directly with clients and earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation. Over time, his interests shifted back towards the analytical aspects of finance, which got him interested in the industry in the first place and prompted him to pursue the CFA designation.
His diverse experience spans working with both mass affluent and ultra-high-net-worth clients, with a consistent focus on positively impacting individuals and families—a core aspect of his work that he finds deeply fulfilling.
Justin lives in Southern California with his wife, Katherine, and their four wonderful children: James, Claire, Olivia, and Ethan. He enjoys wine, the outdoors, music, aviation, and coaching his kids' sports. In his pre-parenting days, he was an avid cyclist and sailor, pursuits he still tries to maintain when he can.
